By Kim Gehrke, Year 10
Recently Years 10 & 11 from Bellver International College went on an interesting, educational trip to Valencia. Accompanied by three teachers, they caught the 7am flight to Valencia. Once arrived, they went on the metro from the airport to Valencia’s famous science Museum called ‘Príncipe Felipe Science Museum‘ (‘Museu de les Ciències Príncipe Felipe‘ in Valencian). There the students and teachers could do experiments, learn about science and watch interesting videos. Afterwards, they took part in two science workshops called ‘Frío, frío‘ and ‘Magia química‘, each 45min long, where they could watch and take part in mind-blowing experiments. Later on, they visited the aquarium ‘L'Oceanogràfic‘. There they could observe and learn about a wide range of animals, including penguins, sharks, flamingos, seals and hundreds of different species of fish. Sadly, the trip ended much too quickly, and the students and teachers returned to Mallorca late at night. It was an interesting, fun and educative trip and also an amazing experience.
