Bellver International College has been celebrating recent exam results for their IGCSEs and A level students. Students can be proud of their achievements with all obtaining 5 A*-C grades. An outstanding 87% of the grades were A*-C, with an average of 8.4 IGCSEs passed per student. This is well above the UK national average. Students at A level also achieved a 100% pass rate enabling them to pursue their future careers, in subjects such as medicine, at universities in the UK, Germany and elsewhere.
Students were pleased with their efforts with Lucia in year 12 saying: “I am very happy with my IGCSE results in year 11 and they have enabled me to be able to continue my education at Bellver and start my A levels”. Maria, from Year 12, said: “I was very happy with my results in year 11 and this has given me the chance to continue my education which is important for my future career”. The principal of the school, Mr Vincent Deperrois, added: "Every year, Bellver students achieve outstanding results thanks to their hard work and self-discipline, as well as their teachers' dedication. We are proud of them." A massive congratulations to all the students and the teachers who helped them last year and here is wishing them even more success this academic year.

Bellver karting champion
Lorenzo, from Year 8 at Bellver International College is taking the karting world by storm. He is currently fighting to be in the top 5 in the Spanish championship and the 1st rookie in the cadet category in karting. He is leading the Balearic championship and will race the WSK (World Series Karting) in Italy, racing at the beginning of October this year where there are more than 100 drivers in the same category! At the end of October Lorenzo will be racing the Trofeo de la Industria in Lonato, Italy, where again there are more than 120 drivers in the same category. Lorenzo currently races with a team called Kids to Win, with whom he came 4th in the Mojo cup this year and in the top 6 in the Rotax. Bellver students and staff wish Lorenzo every success in his future race The children from the Reception class and from Year 1 to Year 6 all gather on the patio every Friday to find out who have been chosen by their teacher for a certificate.
The certificates are given for either good behaviour, excellent academic work or super effort. The class who has lined up the most beautifully on the patio all week is rewarded with a line of the week certificate. Year 11 carried out a micro climate weather survey around Bellver International College to help prepare for their IGCSE exams next summer. Students learned how to use and accurately read a thermometer, anemometer, barometer, wind vane and hygrometer. They collected the data from a variety of locations and then compared their results to see if there were any specific factors which affected the results.
It is with great pleasure and excitement that the school has greeted all of our Bellverians back this morning. After the long summer break, students and teachers are ready to start and make of this academic year a success. Today, students from Year 3 to Year 13 will be involved in various workshops in which they will reflect on last year's achievements and how everybody can become an effective student at Bellver. We wish everybody a wonderful and productive year!
