Bellver Leo Club learn about abandoned animals in Mallorca

​The Bellver Leo Club started the school year by visiting SOS Animal in Calvia where they learnt about the plight of the many abandoned animals in Mallorca.
The sanctuary is currently taking care of 45 dogs and a similar number of cats with more arriving each week.
Many of the animals are found new home here in Mallorca but some travel further afield, to Germany and the UK.
On a previous visit, the Leo Club marked out routes in the woods for people to take the dogs on different walks and it was rewarding to be able to take some of the dogs for some much needed exercise.
To help the sanctuary, the Leo Club donated some dog and cat food.
