At Bellver College, we believe that every child has the ability to succeed, and we are committed to helping them do so in a way that honours their individual strengths, learning style, and personal growth.
Our Student Support programme is an integral part of our school community, reflecting our core values of inclusion, respect, and high expectations for all. Through clearly structured, collaborative pathways, we help every student build independence, confidence, and the tools they need to thrive — academically, socially, and emotionally.
We don’t see student support as a separate service — it’s part of who we are. Our inclusive approach ensures that every student is given the opportunity, dignity, and support they need to reach their full potential, in an environment where learning differences are met with understanding and expertise.
Bellver has a dedicated team of in-house specialists within the student support department, including:
▪ A qualified Occupational Therapist, supporting motor skills, sensory integration, and classroom participation
▪ An experienced Speech & Language Therapist, helping children with speech, language, and
communication development
▪ A visiting Psychologist, who provides consultations, assessments, and emotional support as
needed
▪ An English Language Acquisition teacher and literacy interventionist
▪ A Special Education Needs Coordinator
▪ An Intensive Needs Teacher
▪ Two dedicated Special Education Needs Assistants
At Bellver, we create an environment where every child feels seen, valued, and equipped to succeed — this is how, as a school, we help shape rounded individuals ready for the future.

We offer in-house learning support for students of all ages who are experiencing mild to moderate difficulties in academic areas. These may include:
▪ Dyslexia, dyspraxia, and processing difficulties
▪ Language-based challenges with English (for primary school)
▪ Attention, executive function, or mild emotional regulation needs
▪ Autism Spectrum profiles
Our Student Support Team works closely with classroom staff to identify needs early and implement targeted interventions, both in class, in small groups, and one to one. This includes creating Individual Education Plans (IEPs), providing literacy and numeracy support, and offering tools for organisation and study strategies.
We operate a model built on close collaboration between teachers, parents, external professionals, and students, ensuring each child receives consistent, coordinated support. Confidentiality and sensitivity are respected at every step.
For students requiring more tailored and ongoing help, we offer an Extended Support Pathway. This flexible option provides:
▪ Personalised timetables and structured interventions during the school day
▪ One-to-one or very small group sessions with specialists
▪ Emotional regulation, confidence-building, and adaptive learning approaches
▪ Integration within the mainstream classroom wherever possible
Each student on the Extended Support Pathway has a tailored Individual Education Plan, developed in partnership with their family and reviewed regularly to reflect progress and new goals.
For students who need more individualised pathways and programmes, Bellver offers wrap-around, inclusive support through two dedicated tracks: BLOOM in Primary and THRIVE in Secondary.
Both programmes are built on the same guiding principle: every student belongs with their same-age peers as much as possible, while receiving the education, and the social and emotional outcomes, they deserve. Students in BLOOM and THRIVE are supported by highly trained staff and an individualised plan that flexes around each child’s strengths and needs, rather than asking the child to flex around a fixed programme.
BLOOM — Primary
Building Life Opportunities On Mallorca
BLOOM supports our youngest learners with intensive needs, providing a nurturing, highly individualised pathway that builds foundational life, communication, and academic skills. Students are included with their primary classmates for as much of the school day as is appropriate for them, while receiving specialist, one-to-one, and small-group support designed around their own goals.
THRIVE — Secondary
Transforming Hopes into Resilience, Independence, Vision, and Empowerment
THRIVE continues this individualised, wrap-around approach into secondary school, with a focus on building resilience, independence, and self-advocacy alongside academic progress. Students remain part of the wider Bellver community, joining same-age peers wherever it supports their development, while working toward a plan shaped around their own vision for the future.
What families can expect from BLOOM and THRIVE
▪ A fully individualised programme, built around each student’s own goals and pace
▪ Wrap-around support that draws on our in-house Occupational Therapist, Speech & Language Therapist, and visiting Psychologist, alongside our specialist teaching team
▪ Inclusion with same-age peers wherever it benefits the student, balanced with dedicated specialist support
▪ Highly trained staff experienced in individualised and intensive-needs education
▪ Regular review and open communication with families to track progress and adapt the plan as the student grows
BLOOM and THRIVE are offered at an additional cost to the family, reflecting the individualised staffing and resources each plan requires. Our admissions and student support teams are happy to discuss eligibility, planning, and fees in a confidential family consultation.

Emotional wellbeing is central to how we support every child at Bellver. Through our partnership with Linden Global Learning and Support, students and families have access to professional counselling and mental health support, available online.
▪ Individual counselling sessions for students, delivered online for flexibility and continuity
▪ Support for a wide range of needs, including anxiety, self-esteem, transitions, bereavement, and social or family stress
▪ Close coordination between our counselling partner, our in-house student support team, and families, so every child is supported consistently
▪ A confidential, child-centred approach that respects each family’s privacy at every step
Whether a student needs a single conversation or ongoing support, our counselling partnership ensures help is always close at hand.
